Properly caring for your handcrafted, cold process soap is very important. You must use a soap dish that allows the water to completely drain off the bar and for air to circulate around it or you will find a puddle of melted goo in your soap dish instead of a solid bar. If you have the type of shower enclosure with a built-in soap area mid-way down DO NOT leave your bar of handmade soap in this location. The bar needs to be kept high and dry when you're not using it. If you follow these instructions, your soap should last 2-3 weeks if you're using it all over your body and much longer than this if you're just using it on your face. Some people purchase our soap for use on their face only, which sits on the bathroom counter and rarely encounters this problem. But, when using it in the bath and/or shower, be careful. Even though this information accompanies each and every bar of soap we sell, many people forget this and lose their beautiful bar of artisan soap! This goes for your shaving mug too (if you use one). Note: HIGH & DRY when not in use.
